So your all excited about uni and are wondering what you can get up to in fresher's week outside of the SU events. Below are the events which Edge Hill Unite Christian Society are putting on throughout the week. As with all of Unite's events, they are open to everyone of any belief or no belief at all. Keep up-to-date with all the latest freshers information here The Big Move In  Time: 9am till 6pm Venue: Across campus just keep an eye out for us. So, you've packed the car, found your way to Edge Hill and have enrolled but, your left wondering how your going to move all your stuff into your new home from home. Well we're to help. We will help you move your stuff into your halls as well as provide any guidance that you need about freshers week or uni. Milkshake Giveaway Date: Monday 19th September Time: 11am till 1pm  Venue: Business School Foyer Wakey, wakey, rise and shine its your first morning at Uni and what a better way to start the day than with a FREE Milkshake in Business Foyer available between 11am and 1pm. Choose from Chocolate, Strawberry or Banana. Pub Quiz  Time: 6:30pm (7pm start) till 8:30pm Venue: TBC Its time to get quizzin’ in the evening with a Pub Quiz in (venue to be confirmed), with drinks, snacks and plenty of free flowing conversation. Doors open 6:30 and the quiz starts at 7pm sharp. Bowling Party Date: Tuesday 20th September Time: 6pm till 8:30pm  It’s time to make a trip off campus this time to go Bowling. In the past this has been a really popular event in the past so be sure to be you are in with the crowd. There is a small cost to this event which will be confirmed at a later date. The Duck Takeover (Freshers Fair)  Time: 10:30 am till 2pm Venue: TBC Its time to grab your friends, a camera or phone and head over to our stall in Fresher's Fair to get the duck. Then go around campus taking pictures of the duck using some interesting clues. The best picture of the day will win a great prize!!! Pudding Party Date: Wednesday 21st September Time: 7pm till 9pm  Venue: TBC Do you enjoy cake and pudding? Well, join us tonight for the Pudding Party of the year in (venue to be confirmed). It all starts at 7pm and will finish around 9pm. There will be lots of sharing of FREE cakes and pudding as well as plenty of soft drinks. Lunch Cafe - Toasties !!!  Time: 11am till 1pm Venue: Magnolia Room in Forest Court Grab a Toastie in the Magnolia Room (in Forest Court) between 11am and 1pm. Available flavours are cheese, tomato, ham, chocolate and banana. Pizza Party Date: Thursday 22nd September Time: 7pm till 9pm  Venue: The Boiler Room, Burscough Street, Ormskirk Join us for our pizza party in the Boiler Room (Ormskirk). Meet us at Security at 6:30pm or 6:50pm at the clock tower in town. For a short walk to the Boiler Room for FREE Pizza, snacks and soft drink in the relaxing environment of the Boiler Room. Candyfloss and Popcorn  Time: 11am till 1pm Venue: Around Campus so keep on eye out for us Roll up, roll up its time to get FREE candy floss or popcorn, it’s up to you what you choose. Come and find us around campus between 11am and 1pm. Meet the churches Date: Friday 23rd September Time: 7pm till 9pm  Looking for a church or just curious about God? Come along to Meet the Churches in (venue tbc) starting at 7pm, where you can meet people from the different churches in the area. There will also be plenty of drinks, snacks and friendly conversation. It's a Knockout  Time: 2pm till 4pm Venue: TBC Since the dawn of time, there has been one question which remains unanswered, which sex is better? Now its your chance to battle it out over different rounds all in aid of seeing which is the better sex. Find A Church Breakfast Date: Sunday 25th September (and 3 Sundays after this date) Time: 8:30am till 10am  Come along on Sunday morning to our Churches Breakfast, where you can have some breakfast, and choose a different church to visit each Sunday for 4 weeks. You do have to be up early; it’s at 8:30am on a Sunday morning. |
